This might be old news for you since May, but...
I have used USAA's Android App to deposit several checks. All have gone through fine. My only critique is that you have to flatten the check (which is a pain if it was folded in half or in your wallet for a while) and place it against a dark background. It took me three or four photos and black construction paper to get it just right... could be my phone though.
Even though it was a bit of a pain, it was still much faster than driving to the bank.

The processor is labeled as a little bit newer model number however it and also the GPU are likely the similar speed as the 3GS. The old Contact with the similar CPU and GPU since the 3G was faster. Besides getting the clock speed turned up greater the Touch has less software programs to run because it is not a phone. It should do more than any iPhone to this day in overall performance.

Pamela - Sorry for the long delay. AT&T is still reportedly trying to launch this year (may have already...) Last I heard they were trialing in Charlotte, NC. You can check out the website at: http://www.wireless.att.com/learn/why/3gmicrocell/. Pricing has not been set yet, but in the trial they are testing $10 per month if you have an additional AT&T product (home phone or Internet) and $20 if you only have wireless. I would have to think that this price will be lower when they launch. (It should be!)

As with any significant network upgrade, there will be build-out of new hardware. This will likely include adding LTE to existing towers and new towers. This is particularly true for new spectrum that will be used to support LTE.

The more significant issue is backhaul, or the communication link from the tower back to the switch. I believe that the current average backhaul from a 3G tower is around 6 Mbps. If you are looking at providing 30 Mbps per second for each subscriber, you need to have significantly more bandwidth.
